October 12, 2015

As usual, great things have been happening at Villy Custom. This past June, we received a phone call from THE Sean Payton, Head Coach of the New Orleans Saints. He and his girlfriend ordered their second set of cruisers from us.  They ordered a set for their home in Metarie last year, and needed another set of bikes for their beach house in Florida.

As a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, I have been a fan of Sean Payton ever since he was our Offensive Coordinator. The Saints are now my second favorite team because of him. So, as you can imagine, I was amped  to get that phone call from him.  I asked him if he wanted me to call him Coach Payton or Sean…..and he told me "whatever you want, Fleetwood".  Very nice guy!

It turns out Sean had seen us on Shark Tank and has been interested in our cruisers since then. He also told me that he likes our website, and offered to help us in any way he can. That’s when I came up with the idea of designing a New Orleans Saints Training camp bike, one-of-a-kind, just for him. He thought it was a great idea, and with his input, we designed an awesome cruiser that I know the “Who Dat Nation” will love.

We created a stunning cruiser using an onyx frame, onyx rims, a gold chain, gold and onyx accents, and matte black fenders with a repeating Fleur De Lis pattern. The New Orleans Saints team name is proudly displayed on the frame in gold flake along with “Sean Payton LTD Edition” and “I Am Who Dat Nation” on the chain guard. Even added their Super Bowl Logo on the drink holder!  He told me that the players were digging' it!!

This project was definitely one of the biggest highlights of Summer 2015 for us, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.

And as if that all wasn’t exciting enough, I’ve been invited by Coach Payton to visit New Orleans in October for the Cowboys vs. Saints game, where I’ll get to meet him in person! Needless to say, I can't wait!!!  No matter who wins that game (and I'm a die-hard Cowboys fan) its going to be a great experience.  I am very lucky to get to do what I do!
